i'm a chinese trans lesbian currently studying history and visual culture at the university of waterloo. here, you can find assorted things i've been doing; art, graphic design, writing, the books i've been reading, etc.

what do i do for fun?

play video games and waste my time, mostly. i play a lot of team fortress 2, apex legends, and osu. overwatch too, on occasion. my favourite games of all time are probably disco elysium and hades. i also like to draw, though i do that now a lot less than i used to. other than that i just read, watch a film on occasion, and drink alcohol.

what am i interested in?

modern history from the 19th century to today. i fuck with the longue duree and world-systems analysis. i have a particular interest in revolutionary, soviet, and decolonial histories; currently, i'm focusing on imperial japanese history, so feel free to reach out if you want any help with that.

i'm also interested in counter-hegemonic, non-western, 20th century perspectives on modernism. i love reading, so feel free to talk to me about books anytime! i have a soft spot for russian literature; my favourite book of all time is probably anna karenina.
